About EngageAll

The EngageAll project helps students at Professional Higher Education (PHE) institutions join in student and civic engagement, no matter their background. We focus on the often-ignored effect of student engagement on learning and the key skills gained from these experiences.
Β
Participating in student engagement and civic activities can help students to:

enrich their overall student experience

gain key skills such as critical thinking, teamwork and active citizenship

develop personally and professionally

These activities boost students’ key skills and job prospects. They also deepen their understanding of social issues, helping them create positive change.

EngageAll shows how important PHE institutions are for active citizenship. It highlights the many benefits of student involvement beyond academics. This includes participation in

  • institutional initiatives,
  • local community projects,
  • activities addressing broader societal challenges.

EngageAll concentrates on the diverse student body in PHE. We address the specific challenges students face in balancing their academic work with extracurricular activities.

Objectives

  • show how student engagement and civic work build vital skills
  • promote wider inclusion, particularly for underrepresented students facing socio-economic or cultural barriers
  • develop practical ways and strategies for PHE institutions to support student involvement
