EURASHE is the European Association for the Applied Sciences in Higher Education, the leading voice for applied sciences and professional higher education in Europe. With over 70 members from across Europe and beyond, EURASHE advocates for the interests of more than 500 applied higher education institutions. Founded in 1990, EURASHE has a mission to promote the value of applied higher education at both national and European levels. It is committed to fostering international cooperation and enhancing the global engagement of its member institutions. Through these efforts, EURASHE contributes to the advancement of higher education and research, and in particular its role in meeting societal and economic challenges.
The issue of student inclusion and mobility are key to EURASHE. Through initiatives such as the Erasmus+-funded project ATHENA, which focuses on enhancing accessibility in curriculum design, EURASHE actively addresses these priorities. By fostering inclusive educational frameworks, EURASHE aims to ensure that all students, regardless of their background, can fully participate in higher education. These efforts align closely with broader European policies emphasising equity and access in education.
Finally, EURASHE is one of the key stakeholders in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Its large network of members and partners, as well as its political influence in the EHEA, will ensure a strong and effective dissemination of the project outputs, presenting it to 35 countries within and outside the EHEA and more than 600 higher education institutions.
As part of the project activities, EURASHE will:
● Organise a Peer Learning Webinar Series with 5 online events taking place on topics related to the project
● Lead the alignment of the EngageAll competence framework with the ESCO database
● Organise a final event in Brussels to share project results with a wide audience.
